Taxonomic Remarks
There are several cryptic colorless species of Tetrastemma in southeast Australia which are difficult to separate. Tetrastemma sp. SMSA100 can be recognized by fine white spots on the body, and by COI sequence data.

Description of Material
Body 5 mm long, 0.4 mm wide, white, semi-translucent, with fine opaque white spots on both dorsal and ventral surfaces. The cephalic lobe is the same width as neck, rounded, one and a half times longer than wide, separated from body by a neck furrow. Oblique cerebral organ furrows visible dorsally and ventrally. Two pairs of ocelli. Posterior tip rounded. Rhynchocoel extends to near tip of body. Stylet basis rod shaped, S/B = 0.8. Two accessory stylet sacs with 2 stylets in each.
Ecology
Found on weed and sediment in the intertidal zone.
