Taxonomic Remarks
This species is easily recognized by its uniquely tapered and pointed posterior end, relatively narrow rod-shaped stylet basis, and by COI sequence data.

Description of Material
Body 3 – 5 mm long, 0.6 mm wide. Background colour cream. Cephalic lobe same width as neck, rounded to trapezoid, twice as long as it is wide, separated from body by an indistinct neck furrow. Short transverse cerebral organ furrows visible dorsally and ventrally. Two pairs of ocelli. Posterior tip tapered and pointed. Stylet basis rod shaped, slightly wider at its distal rounded end, S/B = 0.8. With two accessory stylet sacs and 1 – 4 stylets in each.
Ecology
This common species is usually but not always found on the seagrass Amphibolis antarctica in the intertidal zone.
Distribution
Harmer’s Haven to Apollo Bay, Victoria. Also reported from South Australia, Australia.
