Taxonomic Remarks
This species has skeletal measurements unlike any other species within this genus that has the pinnate growth form. The anisochelae (7-8 teeth) are always larger than all of the species (only one of species has 7 teeth) and the sigmas are considerably larger and thicker. Only one class size of mycalostyles are found.

Description of Material
The specimen is c. 20 cm in height, it is stipitate (not branched). The species is white both in situ and after preservation. Megascleres: Mycalostyle: 900-1600 μm, Microscleres: Anisochelae (7-8 teeth): 40-50 μm, Sigma (C and S): 240-270 μm
