Description of Material
Abactinal surface covered by tall paxillae, with 18–20 somewhat broad and short spinules, but not rounded or oval. The paxillae are very slender and reach the margin. Small madreporic plate, covered by paxillaes. There is a line of black paxillaes in each interradious area, from the margin to the disk, but it does not reach the center of this. Only the inferomarginal plates are distinguishable from the margin; these are rectangular and extend into the actinal area and, except in the interradii, are the only plates present before the ambulacrals. In the interradial center from the actinal surface, there is a row of 5 paxillae extending from the margin to the oral plate, followed by two on each side, with the number of paxillae decreasing progressively. These are composed of spinelets longer than those on the abactinal surface, arranged flattened against the surface, lying horizontally. Oval mouth plates with two parallel spines to the mouth, three more upper and finally other two at distal part. Adambulacral plates with two parallel spines to the furrow, three more upper, and 5 more vertically in the distal part of the plate. All with the same size and shape.
