Taxonomic Remarks
As previously noted for Typhlopolycystis sp.1 and Typhlopolycystis sp.3, the morphology of the male sclerotised structures in Typhlopolycystis sp.4 indicates its close relationship with the ‘coeca’ group within the genus Typhlopolycystis. However, the accessory stylet type II in Typhlopolycystis sp.4 (double-curved and forming an S-shape) is unique among all known species of Typhlopolycystis. Therefore, no further comparisons are necessary to confirm its status as a new species within the genus Typhlopolycystis.

Description of Material
Species of Typhlopolycystis with eyes and a relatively long proboscis. Prostate stylet type III measuring 23–29 µm in length (x¯ = 26 µm; n = 2), straight, tapering to end in a distally round tip. The accessory stylet type II is 47–55 µm long (x¯ = 51 µm; n = 2), double curved forming a S-shape, tapering to a distal, narrow, round tip. Both stylets are proximally connected by a ring.
