Taxonomic Remarks
Until now, 10 species of Paromalostomum have been described. They are mainly differentiable by some characteristics of the male trial organs such as the thickening of the spermatic duct, the shape and size of the stylet and accessory stylet, alongside with the structure of the female sclerotized structures (bursa mouthpiece and middle piece). In this context, Paromalostomum sp.1 is unique because of the thickening of the spermatic duct is restricted to its most distal part. In addition, the morphology of the bursal middle part is not comparable to any known species of the genus, and the bursa mouthpiece is the largest ever recorded in the genus.

Description of Material
Species of Paromalostomum with stylet measuring 193–215 µm long (x¯ = 104 µm; n = 2). The stylet is proximally funnel shaped, with the rim thickened, and makes a lap. At its distal third, the stylet makes another lap and forms a broader tube, distally bent. Accessory stylet 81–94 µm long (x¯ = 88 µm; n = 2). It is proximally broad and tapers to a distal shar tip. The distal third of the accessory stylet is curved, with the distal tip pointing sideways. Mouthpiece 32 µm long, showing distally three discs. The middle piece shows a cup-shaped part linked to a tubular part, which present one side comb shaped. In total, the middle piece is 45 µm long, and the cup-shaped part is 24 µm at its broader proximal part.
