Taxonomic Remarks
Gnosonesima sp.3, characterised by a 91-µm-long, proximally bent stylet, is comparable only to G. brattstroemi and G. mediterranea. However, Gnosonesima sp.3 differs from G. brattstroemi by the absence of eyes, whereas G. brattstroemi possesses two pairs. Additionally, the stylet of G. brattstroemi is much longer (400 µm) and its proximal bend is more pronounced, forming a complete loop. The stylet of G. mediterranea (240 µm) is likewise substantially longer than that of Gnosonesima sp.3.
