Taxonomic Remarks
Heteroserolis MoV7411 is recognised by the relatively broad pleotelson, with a pair of obscure curved sublateral ridges occupying the middle third, and the absence of middorsal tubercles. Epimera 2 and 3 are vertically flat and scarcely separate coxal dorsal plate 6 from the pleotelson. The female is relatively wider than in other species of Heteroserolis (1.2 times as long as wide). Interim diagnosis. Based on female and male. Female 1.2 times as long as wide; male 1.15 times as long as wide. Body dorsally not setose. Head without posterior tubercle; pereonites 1–4, pleonites 1–3 each without median tubercle; pereonites 1–6, pleonities 2, 3 laterally smooth in female; pereon, pleon sculpture similar in both sexes. Pereonite 1 anterolateral margins convex. Coxal dorsal plates 1–6 marginally contiguous; coxal dorsal plates 2–4 delimited from pereonite tergites by non-articulating suture; plate 6 well overlapping and enclosing pleonal epimera 2 and 3, reaching midway along pleotelson. Male coxal ventral plates 2–4 meeting mesially, without mesial marginal ridges; 5–7 serially fused, separated by single mesial plate bearing pair of simple gonopores. Pleonites 2, 3 epimera margins terminating as flat vertical blades. Pleotelson lateral margins sinusoidal, tapering from base; 0.9 times as long as wide; with median ridge over most of length, with obsolete sublateral curved longitudinal ridge; apex concave. Pleonite 1 sternite with prominent keel reaching midway along smaller keel on pleonite 2; pleonite 3 with grooved keel as long as that on pleonite 2. Uropod attaching about quarter way along lateral margin of pleotelson; endopod reaching almost to pleotelson apex, tapering to rounded apex; exopod as long as endopod, apex rounded.
