Taxonomic Remarks
This species is closest to Retizafra sp5 with which it superficially shares about the same spiral and axial sculpture. It can be distinguished from R. sp5 by its protoconch and teleoconch with more whorls, less rounded more elongate shell, narrower aperture, lower number of spiral cords and a shorter, weaker ridge on the columella.

Description of Material
Shell of small size for the genus, adult size up to 2.6 mm; fusifom with rather straight whorls. Slightly shouldered. Suture slightly impressed. Slightly translucent. Protoconch paucispiral, consisting of about 1.4 smooth whorls. Transition to teleoconch weak. Teleoconch consisting of about 3.6 whorls. Axial sculpture of about 18 ribs on every whorl. On the first whorl these ribs are rather weak, but these ribs become stronger on the further whorls. The last ribs close to the aperture very weak. Spiral sculpture of one clear subsutural cord on all teleoconch whorls. Apart from this cord, the fist whorl has no spiral sculpture. On the second whorl the spiral additional sculpture appears very weak, become more and more visible towards the last whorl. This spiral sculpture consists of rather flat cords with narrow interspaces, which overrun the axial ribs. On the second whorl there are 4 such cords. On the last whorl there are 8 spiral cords, going over in the basal cords abapically. Basal cords clearly present, ventrally ranging to just below the adapical end of the columella. Aperture average width for the genus, about 43% of shell height. Outside of outer lip weakly thickened, with the continuation of the basal cords and spiral sculpture clearly present. Inside of outer lip with a weak sinus on the adapical end and not denticulate. Columellar callus clearly present, not raised, with a weak rim more inside on the abapical side. Parietal callus clearly present, rather thin. Siphonal canal short, open, slightly recurved. Shell color off-white with irregular cream markings. Aperture, columella and parietal callus white with some cream shining through. Protoconch white. Height of holotype: 2.6 mm
Ecology
Direct developing species with paucispiral protoconch, so non planctotrophic larvae. Most likely endemic.
