Taxonomic Remarks
This species differs from most Mitrella by its very elongate shell. Other deep-water species from the region with this feature and a paucispiral protoconch are M. praetermissa Monsecour & Monsecour, 2016 and Mitrella gracilis Monsecour & Monsecour, 2016. The new species differs from M. praetermissa by its less elegant shape, more rounded lower teleoconch whorls and different shape of aperture. Mitrella gracilis is much more elegant, hasa a more swollen protochonch, straight whorls and a much smaller not so elongate aperture.

Description of Material
Shell of moderate size for the genus, adult size up to 9.8 mm; fusifom, very elongate. First teleoconch whorls rather straight, lower teleoconch whorls more rounded. Suture slightly impressed. Protoconch paucispiral, consisting of about 1.4-1.5 smooth whorls. Transition to teleoconch weak. Teleoconch consisting of about 6 whorls. Axial sculpture absent. Spiral sculpture only consisting of the basal cords which ventrally reach to just above the adapical end of the columella. Aperture rather narrow and elongate for the genus, about 43% of shell height. Outside of outer lip not thickened and with the continuation of the basal cords on the abapical end. Inside of outer lip without a clear sinus and not denticulate. Columellar callus rather weak, not raised and not denticulate. Parietal callus very weak. Siphonal canal short, open, slightly recurved. Teleoconch whorls off-white to cream. Aperture and columella white. Protoconch off-white to cream. Height of holotype: 8.5 mm
