Taxonomic Remarks

Looks like a Primnoella superficially. 2 scales visible abaxially. Body wall scales with strong line across = ascus (no depression, as in some species of Primnoella). Opercular and one row of scales (marginals) are visible adaxially, then naked. 11 scales in abaxial row, 5-6polyps / whorls, 4 whorls / cm. Opercular tongue-shaped or to a rounded point – no keel. Whip coral with polyps in whorls of 5-6.
