Taxonomic Remarks

Differs from Ophiozonella bispinosa in having small disc with a protruding plate on the interradial margin, two arm spines, the uppermost more than two times the length of lowest, there are only a few plates between the marginal plate and the oral shield. The disc is brown/white with a darker stripe on either side of radial sheilds which can extend onto the arms as a series of dark dots at the lateral edge of the dorsal arm plates.
