Description of Material

A Paratyphlotanais species with spurs on the coxa of pereopods 1-2, hyposphenia on pereonites 1-2 at least (the former usually large). Chelae more gracile than Paratyphlotanais NZ#1

Ecology

Benthic sediments, possibly a shallow burrower with self-constructed ‘tubes’ (burrow-linings).

Distribution

Bounty Trough, 982-1066 m, TAN2402 Stns 31 and 32. Other records may exist from other projects and this requires more study.
