More robust and larger than the sympatric Paratyphlotanais OC# and OC#2, the latter having coxal spurs.

Ecology

Benthic sediments. A probable shallow burrower.

Distribution

Bounty Trough, 758-1066 m, TAN2402 Stns 25, 31, 37. Other records exist for several Paratyphlotanais species in NZ waters but a review of these is now required.
