Taxonomic Remarks

The pereopods 1-3 merus has 2 setae, there are no pleonal setae, it has a possibly rounder carapace than NZ#1 and has longer uropods. It might be conspecific with C. antarctica but there are insufficient details for that species to be certain. Detailed work is needed to confirm the distinction from Cryptocopoides NZ#1.
