Taxonomic Remarks

This is one of about six undescribed species from NZ waters, excluding a described taxon from intertidal sediments, A. whakarakaia. A manuscript on this genus, and related genera, from NZ waters is under preparation.

Ecology

Benthic sediments, probably a shallow-deep burrower.

Distribution

Bounty Trough, 1644 m, TAN2402 Stn 47. Also, probably the same species from the Great South Basin, 1323-1385 m.
