Taxonomic Remarks

One of several new Libanius species described from NZ waters, but identification is difficult. This species has a cephalothorax shorter than the pereonites 1-3 combined, and chelipeds are forward of the pereonite-1 but with the cephalothorax sternite is concave (cf. Paralibanius taitonga).
