Taxonomic Remarks

Gyratrix sp.2, like the previously described species, lacks eyes. However, it differs in the morphology of the prostate stylet type III, which exhibits a well-developed proximal portion that constitutes most of its length. This combination of characters also distinguishes Gyratrix sp.2 from the nominal species G. hermaphroditus. In addition, the position of the testis in Gyratrix sp.2, located anterior to the pharynx, further differentiates it from Gyratrix sp.1, in which the testis is situated posterior to the pharynx.
