Taxonomic Remarks
Serolina MoV7414 belongs to a group of species with sublateral pereonal ridges or tubercles. These ridges occur on pereonites 1–6 in males and females of all of these species (S. delaria Poore, 1987; S. eugeniae (Nordenstam, 1933); S. granularia Poore, 1987; S. minuta (Beddard, 1884); S. nepea Poore, 1987). All except S. sp. 7414 have prominent middorsal tubercles and sublateral tubercles on pereonites 5 and 6. The male of S. sp. 7414 differs from all of these in lacking dorsal sculpture. Interim diagnosis. Female 1.2–1.26 times as long as wide; male as long as wide. Head with medial lobe only; middorsal crests scarcely visible in lateral view; pereonites 1–4 of ovigerous female each (or 2 only) with pair of sublateral longitudinal ridges; of male without sublateral ridges, pereonites 2, 3 of ovigerous female with submedial ridges; of male without submedial ridges. Coxal dorsal plate margins 1–4 contiguous, plate 5 slightly narrower; 6 broad and obtuse, overlapping pleonal epimeron 2. Pleonal epimeron 2 with concave apex; epimeron 3 acute. Pleotelson 0.8 times as long as wide, with oblique dorsolateral ridges. Uropodal exopod scarcely shorter than endopod, apex rounded.
