Taxonomic Remarks

Serolina MoV7421 resembles S. holia Poore, 1987 in having an anterior pair and posterior triplet of tubercles on the head. It differs in having transverse rows of tubercles on the pereonites, more numerous on the ovigerous female, and more posterior projection of coxal dorsal plate 6, especially in the female. Interim diagnosis. Female 1.2 times as long as wide; male 1.13 times as long as wide. Head posterior margin with small median tubercle and pair of larger tubercles, pair of small tubercles between anterior margin of eyes; middorsal crests scarcely visible in lateral view; pereonites 1–6 with sublateral tubercle, pereonites 1–6 with submedial tubercles along posterior margins on female only. Coxal dorsal plate margins contiguous; 6 broad and obtuse, overlapping pleonal epimeron 2. Pleonal epimera 2 and 3 broad, with acute apex, separate from coxal plate margins. Pleotelson 1 times as long as wide, without dorsolateral ridges. Uropodal exopod much shorter than endopod, apex rounded.
