Taxonomic Remarks
This species differs from R. zingiber Monsecour & Monsecour, 2016 by its less rounded whorls, its much higher number of axial ribs, different form of aperture, absense of parietal callus and different color pattern.

Description of Material
Shell of average size for the genus, adult size up to 3.7 mm; fusifom with slightly rounded whorls. Suture slightly impressed. Protoconch paucispiral, consisting of about 1.5 smooth whorls. Transition to teleoconch clearly visible. Teleoconch consisting of 3.3-3.4 whorls. Axial sculpture of strong axial ribs on all whorls. About 17 ribs on the first teleoconch whorl to 20 ribs on the lower whorls. The last axial rib close to the aperture is much stronger sloping to the edge of the aperture. Spiral sculpture absent on the first whorl and second whorl. Rather obsolete on the beginning of the third whorl and only clearly visible on the last whorl. This spiral sculpture exists of wide flat spiral ribs with very narrow interspaces. which overrun the axial ribs. On the last whorl 13 of these cords are present, going over in the basal cords. Subsutural cord much wider than the other cords. Basal cords ventrally ranging to just below the adapical end of the columella. Aperture average width for the genus, about 55% of shell height. Outside of outer lip with continuation of the spiral scuplture. Inside of outer lip with a sinus on the adapical end and 6 strong denticles. Columellar callus thick, with a ridge without denticles. Parietal callus absent. Siphonal canal short, open, slightly recurved. Shell color off-white with a brownish spiral band just below the suture. On the last whorl two extra brown bands are visible: one at mid-whorl and one just above the basal cords. The inside of the aperture and columella white. On the edge of the aperture the ends of the spiral bands are visible as brown spots. Protoconch white. Height of holotype: 3.6 mm
Ecology
Direct developing species with paucispiral protoconch, so non planctotrophic larvae. Most likely endemic.
