Taxonomic Remarks

Keeled opercular means this is not a species of Plumarella. The specimen keys out (Cairns and Wirshing, 2018) as Tokoprymno. However polyps are not biserially placed but isolated, making this a new species. Other morphological differences between Tokopyrymno species include: Triangle-shaped (not duckbill shaped) opercular mean this is not Tokoprymno anatis. Polyps of T. maia are larger (3-5mm tall) meaning there are fewer per cm (4-6 versus ~ 12 / cm here).
