Taxonomic Remarks
With the exception of P. doederleini, the only other Parastenella have wider flutes than this (described as ”narrow” instead of “very narrow” by Cairns; 2007). Parastenella doederleini flutes have a rounded, neat distal edge. This specimen has irregularly serrate distal edge to the flute. Operculum looks taller in P. doederleini, than in this specimen, which looks wider. Polyps of the former at 3mm tall, the latter are 2mm.
